29 nominations for inscription on the World Heritage List
During its 40th session, which will be held at the Istanbul Congress Centre (Turkey) from 10 to 20 July 2016, the World Heritage Committee will consider 29 applications for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Chairman of the Committee be Ambassador and Director General for Culture and Tourism of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Lale Ulker.
The Committee will consider the candidacy of nine natural, 16 cultural and four mixed (natural and cultural) sites. In addition, during the forthcoming session of the Committee to conduct the analysis of 108 state of conservation of sites already included on the World Heritage List, and 48 sites on the List of World Heritage in Danger. For inclusion in the World Heritage List in Danger, the following objects have been proposed:
From 29 June to 12 July in Istanbul, on the eve of the session of the World Heritage Committee will be held Expert Forum on Youth Affairs. The Forum will be attended by young professionals from different countries who are involved in vigorous activity for Heritage. At the conclusion of the Forum, participants will take the Declaration to be presented at the opening of the 40th session of the World Heritage Committee.
